The cold air intake by K&N® is engineered to offer an aerodynamic path for the air and uses highly airflow-efficient filter media. These air intakes are designed to replace the stock intake tubing that can create excess turbulence. Air first flows through a performance air filter before moving through an aerodynamically engineered tubing system that helps provide a higher volume of air to the engine and offers cool air. The mandrel-bent aluminum intake tube or high-density polyethylene (HDPE) rotationally molded tube helps increase the volume of airflow to your engine and provides a guaranteed increase in horsepower and torque. These systems are paired with reusable, washable High-Flow Air Filter™ featuring oiled cotton filter media. Under normal highway driving conditions, the oversized, conical design allows you to go up to 100,000 miles between filter services. The air going through the intake is protected from the high temperature of your engine bay by a custom heat shield. The entire system installation takes less than 90 minutes. In California, some intakes are not legal for sale or use on any pollution controlled motor vehicle. For CARB status on each part for a specific vehicle, see the product specifications.
