Dayco's typical heater hose is designed for general use on passenger vehicles and light trucks. The heater core under the dashboard is where the heated coolant is intended to go from the engine block before returning to the engine. All EPDM compounds were used in the construction, which provided great burst strength and outstanding heat resistance from -40°F (-40°C) to +257°F (+125°C). This black cover hose is intended to be compatible with all typical coolants and coolant additives. It is similar to SAE 20R3, Class D-2.
