Mevotech Supreme™ Premium Grade Sway Bar Frame Bushings transmit force directly from the sway bar to the vehicle's body. These bushings reduce the transmission of noise, road shock, and vibration, offering a smooth driving experience. When a vehicle is moving, the axial and radial movement of the suspension system, combined with the more heat generated by the vehicle, makes the bushings go under heavy stress. These stresses can lead to the hardening, cracking, and breaking of the sway bar bushings. The normal wear and tear can be increased by rough road conditions or damaged shock absorbers which reduces the life of the stabilizer bar bushings. Worn stabilizer bar bushings can allow components to change positions relative to each other, causing excessive noise in the passenger cabin. Once these sway bar bushings become hard and get cracked, they have to be replaced.
